Just wondering...
Recently I read in the Saskatoon Star Phoenix that the Toronto Real Estate Market is poised to explode and it's suggested Vancouver is not far behind. Were the changes last year to CMHC rules which had a drastic effect on the smaller markets such as Saskatoon's not effective or did they actually end up adding fuel to the fires? I feel that CMHC's changes did little to protect consumers. The biggest effect those changes had was strengthening the rental market as more and more people no longer qualify to own their own home.
